IF YOU CAN DO IT IN THE ROOM, YOU CAN DO IT ONLINE!

This deep-dive virtual facilitation program is a very (virtually) hands-on series, designed to have you apply what you learn immediately in your own courses/programs. To help you achieve this, we will have you buddy up with a colleague, to support and challenge each other between workshops.

How do you get your quieter participants to open up and share? What is psychological safety, and why is this so important with virtual training? Can you overcome your Zoom fatigue and that of your participants? How do I make learning even more engaging and impactful than in-person workshops?

If you want answers to these questions, this is the workshop series for you.

In these 3 x 90-min interactive, online workshops, we’ll cover best practices and activities for facilitating groups online. We'll cover:

Workshop 1: Design, mindset, and energy online | 23 OCT 2020

  • Welcoming and orienting attendees
  • Designing for participation
  • Managing participants' energy and engagement

Workshop 2: Facilitation using Zoom - Creating trust and connection | 6 NOV 2020

  • Developing your presence online
  • Easing participants into new technology
  • Energizers and connection activities

Workshop 3: Facilitation using Miro - Participatory decision making | 20 NOV 2020

  • Collaborative brainstorming, clustering, and deciding
  • Managing breakouts
  • Participatory group work
