[Cancelled] Workshop on Interactive Strategies for Live Online Lectures using Zoom Meeting

Monday, 3 February, 2020 - 12:30 to 14:00

Many of us may prefer to teach in the classroom physically, but sometimes situations might require us to tap into online teaching. Teaching online can be challenging to engage students in the same way as the face-to-face class, but with a new set of teaching strategies, eLearning tools and a bit of practice, we can still bring the interaction we love into the virtual classroom. Join our workshop to give it a try!

Come ready to explore Zoom Meeting using interactive strategies for your next live online class:

  • Transfer interactive elements in your face-to-face lesson to an online space
  • Get hands on experience using Zoom Meeting with online based activities
  • Walk away with a toolkit of active learning activities to use in your next lesson

We will be using Zoom Meeting but these strategies can be adapted for other video conferencing tools you might be using, like Canvas Conferences.

All faculty are welcome to join our workshop!

Time: 12:30 – 14:00 | Venue: Room 6558 (Lifts 27-30)
